Today's Misadventure with Food.
Today is a rainy day here in Manila, Philippines. What better day than to make hot chocolate? Got me some circular tablea—didn’t grate it! Got a saucepan (is it called such?) and put on some water, and cream and sugar. A lot of mixing and singing was involved and VOILA! Aylaved it! Alas, my (mis)adventure with cooking is that my expectations of how I can handle food in the kitchen...

Why "Unofficially Yours" is beautiful.
Relationships are relatively complicated because it falls into three categories: 1. Relationships are measured by invisible rules governed by the culture and society you live in—expectations outside is intense. 2. We were grouped together, of course, and we were supposed to piece together a geometric puzzle. Summer came and  I forgot all about you. Suddenly, letters/cards, CDs (Coldplay! :) ), stuffed toys (with creepy eyes), load (Nokia 5210 y’all!) kept...

Ambitious Little Chicken: Classroom is a Diorama... →
bianxvillar: Last week, to better explain the concept of international terrorism and to try to apply the notion of power dynamics (and how to strategize on winning the war against terror), I gave a simulation exercise. I grouped the students to three: one group to represent a terrorist group, another to…

lifetickets: I have seen this several times and it always leaves me giddy. I’m posting it now to share the beauty (eReaders are great but will never be able to surpass trips to bookstores, at least to me) and to remind my butt to keep working. Off to thy dreams!
